Wow!
I had no idea what a difference a blowdryer made. I have always used inexpensive blowdryers like Revlon. They worked fine. I decided to try this dryer after testing one in a store, realizing it got hotter than normal. My hair is quite fine and very short and straight. The issue of frizz or curly is not a problem for me. But the difference is amazing! This dryer gives my hair so much lift and volume. I use it at home and travel and would recommend you spend a little more for this dryer. You will be happy you did.

a travel neccessity
small enough to travel from the US to europe taking up MINIMAL space, AND it has the option to use their voltage, too, so you dont need the converter, just the adapter. extra bonus, after my heavy duty dryer at home broke i just started using this one. works perfectly even for use at home in the states. i do wonder if it would stand up to daily use, however, which is why only 4 stars. but for the occasional trip of extended use, i imagine it will fit the bill perfectly.

As someone with wavy, thick hair, I have always hated blowdrying my hair since it can take up to 40min with a regular blow dryer. Good Quality Dryer (with poor button placement)
I have been using this hair dryer for about 9 months, in winter on a daily basis and summertime almost daily. It is compact, light, fast, and fairly quiet. It also seems to be less damaging than the other dryers I have tried. My only issue is the buttons are at an awkward angle, and even after nine months (and 15 years of regular hairdryer use) I am still hitting the temperature button accidentally. I read that this was a problem on different websites before I bought it and unfortunately ignored the reviews. Another word of warning for those of you with straight, thin hair, as I have...this hair dryer will not add any volume! On the contrary, it tends to flatten my hair more than it is, naturally. I think it would be better suited to those with naturally thick and wavy/curly hair that like to blowdry it straight...it leaves a smooth and shiny finish.

Best Hair Dryer I've Ever Had
I've always admired how my hairdresser can blow dry my hair straight just using her Babyliss Tourmaline dryer so I purchased one for myself. I am very happy with the way it performs and is relatively quiet for a very strong dryer. In fact, it's a good idea not to position it too close to the scalp at the highest setting because it will scorch. Nevertheless, my hair has never smelled like it's burned. It dries hair really fast and straightens my curly hair even when it's very damp. The cord swivels so it's easy to move from one hand to another.
The only thing I don't like about this dryer is where the switches are. They are located right where you thumb is when holding the dryer so you may accidentally turn the dryer off or change the heat setting. Other than that is a fantastic dryer.

For super shiny hair
I must admit that I have never owned a hair dryer before. My hair has always been long and free flowing and I never bothered to really take time out of my day to style it but I decided that going out with a wet head every day can't be that good for me so I finally broke down and purchased one. Once I decided to get a hair dryer the process of finding a good one took longer than I thought and finally frustrated by ambiguous information on the net, overflowing with brands I have never heard of I decided to splurge a tiny bit on a BabyBliss, a brand popular with my friends.

This is truly a wonderful product; the difference in my hair is night and day. Even a quick blow dry in the morning takes most of the wetness out and I am left with a fresh, flowing look, or taking an extra minute and attaching the provided diffuser and brushing the hair down as I dry it makes for shiny and sleek waterfall like cascade of hair. The dryer is not only made well, the back vent is raised so it doesn't get clogged and the mesh is very fine but the whole feel of the metal is almost velvety in the hands, the red color is also really gorgeous and I like how it looks in my bathroom. This is a very strong dryer; it takes me about 3 minutes or less to do my hair with it and I like the variety of 6 settings - Low, Med, High for the strength of the air flow and Cool, Warm and Hot for the heat settings. It also has a Cool button that is great for locking shine and keeping my head and hair from getting too hot.

Ionic dryers are so popular now that it's hard to pick which one is good, but this one is a real winner in my eyes. It's fast, powerful and works wonders. I also enjoy seeing myself with good hair, it's almost a shock after all these years...

Awesome product
This product is so far above any dryer you can typically buy in a department store or beauty supply store. Much more powerful.

Very impressed and happy with my purchase.
I have naturaly fine, but curly hair. If I let it air dry and pull it back, when I get home from work my hair is still damp. Using conventional dryers, it takes approximately 45 minutes to dry my hair and it is always left very frizzy and never less than wavy. This dryer does the job in 20 minutes, is quieter and left my hair very shiny and smooth, with minimal waving! Although the dryer is listed at 1.5 pounds, it is a larger dryer and may be difficult to use by someone who is arthritic or small in stature.

I purchased this hair dryer about 2 weeks ago after having a hard time with the switches on my fairly new Conair dryer. I guess you really do get what you pay for. I LOVE this hair dryer! Not only are the switches very easy to turn off and on, or warm to hot--there are 2 features that sold me. First,the motor is very quiet. No more high-pitched LOUD whine. I usually use it on low, but even the pitch is not so deafening- it's not screaming in your ear. It also has a great built in stand so you don't have to lay it completely down on the counter. With it in this position, I use it to warm my eyelash curler to curl my eyelashes! And because I bought it to dry my hair--it does a fast job of that. I have four other hair dryers lounging around in the drawer now, but the one I will ALWAYS use is my new Babyliss!!!

Great dryer for the money
We ordered this Babyliss to replace a Farouk CHI dryer that died after 18 months. What a find! Right out the box, it performed better, and was half the price!

It's an ionic dryer, so your hair looks more finished, and less frizzy. My husband likes the option for cool, warm or hot temperatures, as he hates super hot dryers. I've got long hair, and it's much faster than the CHI.

While not as light as the little cheap dryers, it really isn't annoyingly heavy. In short, a great step-up dryer for those who want a salon-style dryer, but not the price.

Love this dryer!
I had tried the more expensive T3 dryer, which is totally overpriced. This is more than half the price of that dryer and performs way better. This drys my hair very quickly and I love the way it sits on the counter. You won't be disappointed in this purchase.

professional quality at home
We enjoyed using a similar BaByliss hair dryer at a hotel so we ordered this one which was well-priced (comparatively speaking - some dryers go for 2 - 3 times the price). The ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold and the tourmaline seems to dry the hair more quickly and with a smoother result. I like the concentrator nozzle, too. The controls are easily adjusted with a finger of your gripping hand while the unit is being used. I also like the light strip that visually shows the strength of both the heat and fan.

No Regrets!
I purchased the dryer about a month ago, and have used it 4 times. I have relaxed black hair, but am transitioning to natural (so I have a a lot of thick, frizzy/curly new growth).
It dries extremely fast-usually in about 10 minutes. I have noticed that my hair is smoother after using it, and retains a nice healthy glow. My hair also looks a bit straighter than when I had been using my other blow dryer. Unfortunately, even though overall my hair looks smoother, there still seems to be a lot of unnecessary static and random, stick straight pieces of hair and flyaways after use.

Over all I give it '4 stars' meaning that I would definitely recommend this product to others (it does the job very well!) but I don't think it's the best out there. I'll definitely be looking for a better one in a few years.

Great Hair Dryer
Compact, yet powerful. I owned a different model by a different company (Jilbrere', I think), but this is the same exact unit rebranded as Babyliss! It has the same body, same packaging, and same attachments, and the same long cord. Do yourself a favor and buy it.

Is good but no fantastic...
Is good but just for use it at home, is not like a prossional one. But works Ok, and the Hair Dryer IS NOT THE SAME THAT THIS PICTURE. This one is not the blue like the seller add. Well,, no matter, I think that work the same.

Just the Ticket for Traveling Light
We wanted only carry on bags for our one week trip to France last month, so I bought this little dual voltage dryer. The hotel dryer was fairly wimpy, not a new experience for us in Europe. This 1000-watt gem dried my wife's long thick hair in no time. It's durable, quiet, small and very light. Just the ticket for a carry-on adventure.

Perfect little dryer
I was a little concerned when I got my tiny dryer that it would not be able to dry my thick hair. I didn't have to worry it works better than my big dryer that I was replacing ever did. It dries my hair really fast & makes my hair look better than any other dryer I have owned. I highly recommend it.

Now THIS is a travel dryer!
Now THIS is a travel dryer! I purchased, last year, an Andis brand travel dryer, and I didn't think it was all that small. It burned my fingers because it ran very hot, and it wasn't easy to travel with. Ever since then, I've been on the lookout for a smaller travel dryer, as I travel a lot. I found this when searching here on Amazon for a folding hair dryer.

This is a well-made small hair dryer. Good rubbery-feeling plastic casing, ceramic heating element (doesn't burn your hair or your fingers as you 'scrunch dry'), has a tight folding handle and good length cord. Doesn't get much better than this for the money. I'm impressed with this brand called BaByliss, which is a new name to me.
